The ROSS Agency, Inc. was founded in 1993 by James E. Redenbo and William O'Sullivan. Both Messrs. Redenbo and O'Sullivan are retired executive command officers with the Illinois State Police. Both are graduates of the FBI National Academy. William O'Sullivan is the Executive Vice President, chief operational officer and co-owner of the ROSS Agency, Inc. In 1993, he retired from the Illinois State Police at the rank of Colonel, following a 23 year career with that agency. Mr. O’Sullivan directs the ROSS Agency’s field investigations and consulting projects. He has provided expert witness consultation in the areas of Negligent Hiring and Retention and Security Measures for Businesses and Business Facilities. He began his law enforcement career in 1964 as a patrolman with the Chicago Police Department. In 1970, after a tour of duty with the United States Army, he was appointed among the first group of special agents for the newly formed Illinois Bureau of Investigation. Mr. O'Sullivan steadily advanced through the rank structure of the state police and was appointed to direct the agency's criminal investigative division in 1979. He subsequently served in the top command position of the Division of State Troopers and the Illinois State Police Academy Mr. O'Sullivan was granted a Bachelor's degree in business management from Loyola University (Chicago) and a Master's degree in public administration from DePaul University. As a veteran of the United States Army, he served as an intelligence officer with the 173rd Airborne Brigade in the Republic of South Vietnam. He was twice awarded the Bronze Star during his combat tour of duty. He is a graduate of the 129th Session of the FBI National Academy. He has served in numerous executive leadership positions with national law enforcement organizations. He has served as a member of the Executive Board of the FBI's National Crime Information Center, a director of the Regional Training Center National Policy Board for DARE (Drug Abuse Resistance Education), and National Chairman for the Association of State Criminal Investigative Agencies. In 1988, he was elected to the Executive Board of the FBI National Academy Associates - an organization representing over 37,000 graduates worldwide of the FBI National Academy. In 1996, he served as the president of the FBI National Academy Associates. |
