Retired Commander Ley is a 28 year veteran of the Illinois State Police. He retired On August 31, 2018 as the agency’s Commander of the Medicaid Fraud Control Bureau.
During his career with the Illinois State Police, retired Commander Ley served in the position of First Deputy Director, Chief of Staff to the Director, Executive Officer office of Labor Relations, Chief of Staff Division of Administration and additional positions in the Division of Administration.
Retired Commander Brian Ley is a graduate, cum laude, of Western Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree Law Enforcement Administration – major, and Sociology and Management – minor.
He currently serves as the President, Board of Education, School District 126, and has served in that position since April 2011.
